It has been brought to my attention that the dad of Craig
Mayeda, Jack Noboru Mayeda, passed away this past Sunday. Please join us all in extending our most sincere condolences to Mrs. Helen Mayeda and all of the Mayeda Family.
Many of you will remember Craig Mayeda and his wife Charmain when they served as our "First Family" of the Hawaii Jaycees during Craig's term as the 44th President (86-87) of the Hawaii Jaycees. He was the founding President of the "new" Kaneohe Jaycees, affiliated through the efforts of the Honolulu Jaycees, Craig Mayeda and friends, and then RD2, Lindsey Gamiao. Craig is a JCI Senator and USJCC Ambassador.
It is said that "the successes of the children is a direct reflection of the teachings of their Parents". If this is true, then judging by the successes of son, Craig and his family, Mr. Jack Mayeda and wife Helen have been very successful indeed!
Information of the service for Mr. Mayeda is as follows:

California
Thanksgiving morning at 7:40 a.m.
Denise received a phone call from her Son, Corporal Jason David Martinez, he is
in the United States - North Carolina to be exact. It's not quite California,
but a whole lot closer than Iraq. He is now in California, Barstow and will
hopefully be here for Christmas.
So after what seemed like a lifetime, a lot of sleepless nights, and probably a
few more gray hairs - my Baby is finally home.
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas,
Denise and Greg Conrad

Both Mr. Tom Okuyama and his son, Carl have been great supporters of the Jaycee

JCI Senator Lindsey Gamiao’s Father:
Gordon Goo #40273 was notified today that another good friend of ours has lost
his dad. Mr. LEONCIO GAMIAO, father to Lindsey Gamiao has passed away. For as
long as I have known Lindsey, I've called his dad "Papa" so I am finding out his
first name for the first time today. Mr. Gamiao had been home, in the constant
company of his family at his passing. He was, I'm told humorous and witty to the
very end.
Mr. Gamiao's son Lindsey is a Charter Member and Past President of the Honolulu
Downtown Jaycees. He is also an Honorary Past President of the Hawaii Jaycees,
as nominated and approved by the Board of Directors of the Hawaii Jaycees. He is
a USJCC Ambassador and JCI Senator. To those of you who got the opportunity to
meet Lindsey's dad, you will have been aware of his sharp mind, gracious humor
and talent as a "fixer-upper", a trait passed on to his kids, of this I have no
doubt. For those of you who had the misfortune to play cards with him, too bad,
it's too late to get your money back and I'm sure "Papa" thanks you very much
for your donation to his personal fund!!
